Leavin’ on a JETBUS…
Oh man, I still have two weeks left before SUPERTRIP but I have already inspired so many of my friends to the joys of the JETBUS, especially the one that goes to DC. I’m surprised how many people don’t know anything about the dollar fares. I blame it on working too much, because the less I work, the more time I have to look for deals like this because I can’t travel any other way. It works out quite nicely.
Right now I’m looking up places to stay in Albuquerque. It’s a shame I’ll miss the Balloon Fiesta but they really jack up the prices that week. I want to stay in one of the old Route 66 motels, but I might end up in the Econolodge which is still on Rt. 66. Who cares, I won’t be sleeping. The University of New Mexico probably has some student lounges to pass out in. Haha, that reminds me of when someone set up a lounge in the middle of the campus library in New Paltz- it had a glass coffee table, two lounge chairs, and a big dumpy sofa. When I worked there I always saw a different person passed out on that sofa, but he always had a huge traveler’s backpack and was kind of dusty. There is also a 24-hour diner on Rt. 66 that’s supposed to have greasy chili-soaked dishes so I could check in there at midnight…
